Nightmare Before Christmas Songs
from:‘Twas a long time ago, longer now than it seems
In a place that perhaps you’ve seen in your dreams.
For the story that you are about to be told
Began with the holiday worlds of old.
Now, you’ve probably wondered where holidays come from
If you haven’t, I’d say it’s time you begun.
For holidays are the result of much fuss
And hard work for the worlds that create them for us.
Well, you see now, quite simply that’s all that they do…
Making one unique holiday, especially for you.
But once, a calamity ever so great occurred
When two holidays met by mistake.
These are the opening lyrics for the movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas. The movie is about a character, Jack, who is from the Halloween world, and discovers that there are other holidays, such as Christmas. Jack decides that he likes the Christmas holiday more than Halloween, so he has Santa Clause kidnapped and Jack takes his place. The Nightmare Before Christmas songs are classical in their own way. The story itself adds a new twist on the story of the holidays. The Nightmare Before Christmas songs are Christmas songs all on their own. The lyrics are unusual and the music is one of a kind. Both children and adults can enjoy the Nightmare Before Christmas songs.
A list of the Nightmare Before Christmas songs is as follows:
This Is Halloween
Jack’s Lament
What’s This?
Town Meeting Song
Jack’s Obsession
Kidnap the Sandy Claws
Making Christmas
Oogie Boogie’s Song
Sally’s Song
Poor Jack
Although some may feel that Tim Burton’s version of the tale of Christmas is a bit dark, others find the entire movie quite amusing, and children may find it a bit confusing. Despite what others say about the movie, whether they say that it is good or bad, it is a movie worth watching and experiencing for yourself. The Nightmare Before Christmas songs are especially something worth listening to. The Nightmare Before Christmas songs are just as enjoyable as the movie.
One of the many Nightmare Before Christmas songs, What’s This? Is a song that Jack sings when he arrives in Christmas land and discovers snow for the first time along with Christmas lights, decorations, and Santa Clause. It has a catchy tune and the lyrics are quite amusing. The lyrics for the beginning of the song sung at the end of the Nightmare Before Christmas is:
And finally, everything worked out just fine.
Christmas was saved, though there wasn’t much time.
But after that night, things never were the same…
Each holiday now know the other one’s name.
