Christmas Recipes for gifts

from:

Do you have sweets and savouries for everyone on your Christmas list? You will if you use your Christmas recipes for gifts. Simple Christmas recipes for gifts from your own kitchen are always welcome-most people welcome and enjoy a homemade treat. They are always appreciated because it is deeply personal-coming from the heart and your own hands, rather than the store.
It is easy to become overwhelmed by the thought of using your own Christmas recipes for gifts but with a few easy recipe ideas it is easy to create a personalized and thoughtful hand made present that anyone would appreciate.

The only problem is that holiday schedules are often hectic-not many people are able to find the time to cook Christmas recipes for gifts; they have enough work to do with cooking for the family. But with good recipes and a little organization, it is possible to polish off your entire gift-giving list in just a couple of evenings. Bear in mind, that turning your kitchen into a version of Santa’s workshop, complete with the music, love, good smells and those great tastes, is really a lot more fun for the whole family than the atmosphere of a crowded shopping mall.

Giving at Christmas time should always be fun. There are so many different recipes out there that can be used for gifts. You could make different recipes and then place a few of each item into a wicker basket, Christmas tin or any other fun seasonal container. If you can’t fill the container, simply add wrapped chocolates, holiday napkins or even a bottle of wine for that extra personal touch. These are the sort of gifts that will be appreciated by anyone.

The way a home made gift is presented is absolutely critical-but it doesn’t have to cost you and arm and a leg. The good news is that just about anything goes when you are packing edible gifts, from 50cent copper wire and earthy raffia found at the hardware store; to vintage tins, that might be left over from last year and used again. Wine glasses, mugs, and cups and saucers make really great re-usable gift containers. Brown bags, flower pots and small tin buckets that are decorated with paint, stencils or ribbon are both very affordable and creative holders. Discount stores often sell glass bottles with ornaments and other small decorative items for just a few dollars.

If you read yesterday's post, you'll see that I am back on the healthy eating wagon, after much excess over Christmas and New Year (and yep, I know it's February now, but the festive period seemed to be over so quickly, that I treated most of January like it was still Christmas - clearing out the party food before it went out of date etc) and will be updating on here with my progress including ...
